Les Ferdinand, affectionately known as ‘Sir Les’, is one of the most revered and powerful strikers of the Premier League era. He built his reputation at Queens Park Rangers before a high-profile move to Newcastle United, where he became a club legend and won the prestigious PFA Player of the Year award in 1996. He formed a lethal partnership with Alan Shearer as part of the iconic “Entertainers” team. Ferdinand later joined his boyhood club, Tottenham Hotspur, winning the League Cup in 1999. A prolific goalscorer, he amassed 149 Premier League goals, placing him among the all-time top scorers, and also earned 17 caps for the England national team.
