George Yeo has served in many Ministries at the Apex of Singapore’s political system including the Ministries of Health, Finance and Foreign Affairs. One of his greatest achievements was in the 1990s, when working with the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts, he pushed to get Singapore to invest heavily in an internet backbone, helping the country transition from its regional trading advantages to being a global player rooted in excellent infrastructure. He started out with a long career in the Military, and has subsequently moved into the private sector, working with the Pope, Malaysia's Richest Man Robert Kuok and in the leadership of India’s revived buddhist university in Nalanda. These roles see him partly based in Hong Kong, and he has gotten to know the high points of the city, including a suit at Sam’s.
